What questions do you have about other schools’ AI use? And what resources would you like them to share?
These were the two questions I asked you a few week ago.
This week’s highlight from the We Are In Beta Community reveals what you said.
You can now also register - both yourself and your team - for a rare pastoral CPD opportunity. More below.

🤖 The AI questions (and resources) on your mind
In response to an increase in the number of questions about AI in schools, we invited you tell us what you wanted to know about and see others share.
Everyone who took part was then invited share their experiences and resources in relation to the questions asked - and they have been incredibly generous and teh insights we’ve gathered are really interesting. Huge thanks to them.
What questions did school leaders and teachers have about others’ AI use?
The questions on your mind fell into the following five broad buckets:
AI Uses
AI tools
AI skills training / teaching
AI risk mitigation
Parent engagement
The specific questions they wanted to ask were as follows:
AI Uses
What tasks are you using AI for in your school?
AI tools
What AI tools are you using in your school?
Which tools are you prohibiting / restricting the use of if any?
AI skills training / teaching
What training have you given to leaders about AI use?
What training have you given to teachers about AI use?
What training have you given office/admin staff about AI use?
What training/teaching have you given students around AI use?
AI risk mitigation
What strategies are you currently using to ensure staff check accuracy of AI generated content?
What strategies are you currently using to adhere to data protection guidelines?
What strategies are you currently using to adhere to intellectual property guidelines?
What strategies are you currently using to safeguard students when using AI?
Parent engagement
What strategies are currently you using to engage parents?
Want to see how others have answered these questions? Been working on these questions in your school already?
What AI resources did colleagues ask others to share?
Members were not shy in asking others to share their resources!
Here’s what they asked for:
AI Policies
AI training / teaching materials
AI use guidance
Example prompts
AI audits
AI risk registers
AI strategic plans
It’s interesting to note that members wanted to see both staff and student facing versions of each type of resource - not surprising given the fact that AI is new to both teachers and students.
Want access what others have shared so far? Have you been working on similar resources?
What resources have colleagues shared so far?
So far your fellow We Are In Beta Community members have shared the follow resources:
Staff survey results
AI policies
Training slides for different AI platforms
Revision tips for students using AI
Prompt training for teachers
Student survey questions about AI use
Student survey questions about AI use
Teacher guidance about AI use
Digital & AI INSET day programme
AI marking trial result summary
