Awarding grades resources: a national shared drive
IWD2021; Who's speaking at Educating Northants; diversify your curriculum; build your DT leaders network; and your next role?
Hello everyone!
Tomorrow is international Women’s Day 2021.
Thank you to all the incredible women who’ve contributed to our work over the past couple of years. You are all an inspiration.
I also want to say a massive thank you to our Head of Helpfulness, Frances Ling. She is an absolute Shero. I’m so glad she took the risk to join us in Jan 2020. I’m very proud to call her my team mate.
The community simply would not have grown to nearly 10,000* members over the past 15 months without her.
*We’re currently at 9,757. Fran thinks we can make it to 10k by the community’s first birthday - March 19th.
Help her be right by sharing this newsletter with your colleagues.

📊 Awarding grades resources: the national shared drive.
On Wednesday, Heads Forward - the Teach First Headteachers network - issued this appeal after their discussion about awarding grades:
“We're all going to be creating resources, templates, writing letters home, coming up with training docs for staff etc.
“It will be incredibly useful for us all to not have to start from scratch.”
So we've set up a shared drive for you to share letters, plans, moderating tools & staff guidance and more so you don't all have to start from scratch.
Huge thanks to the panelists and to the generous shares so far:
🦸♀️ Jenny Betts for sharing draft timeline and letter to yr11 sent on Friday.
🏆 Karen Davey for slides for yr11 assembly and breakdowns of subjects planned assessment activities between now and 11th June.
✨ Ann Donaghy & Simon Leach for TAG strategy & subject overview.
🧮 Will Mackintosh for an early draft moderation spreadsheet (with gorgeous formulae).
🎆 Crystal Wadsworth for grading strategic plan & initial student guidance.
🙌 Tim Johnson for TAG initial thoughts on strategy.
📅 Educating Northants Conference 2021 - who’s presenting.
